~_~ STORY TIME ~_~

 THE STUBBORN DONKEY

Once upon a time, there was an old thin donkey that worked for a woodcutter by day. At night he was free to wander as he liked.

One night, he made friends with a wandering tortoise and they both went went out in search of food. They found a field filled with juicy watermelons and helped themselves to a delicious meal. Since then, they returned every night to the field to eat the watermelons. Very soon the donkey started to looked healthy and fat.

At one night, after a particularly tasty meal, the donkey was overwhelmed with joy that he blurted to the tortoise that he wanted to sing a song! The tortoise immediately told the donkey not to do such foolish thing!

He reminded the donkey that they were thieves so it will be wise not to make any noise and attract the farmer's attention. If they were caught, they would be severely beaten. But the donkey insisted on singing. The tortoise told him that his voice was not sweet.

This irked the donkey and he taught the tortoise jealous of him. The tortoise warned the donkey again that if he did sing, the faermer would come and reward him in a way that he would not like.

But the donkey started singing anyway. The tortoise quickly left the field. And sure enough, as soon as the farmer heard the donkey braying, he rushed out to beat him. The donkey trotted away from the cornfield, braying painfully from the trashing he just received.

The tortoise came out from his hiding and congratulated n his reward. The donkey was ashamed and walked away miserably. Always heed a good advice even when it comes from a lowly tortoise.

Moral Value :

2) Do not being a thief or take other people thing without their permission.
